The Lonsdale Quay Market opens, bringing together retail shops and food stalls on the waterfront.

The Shipyards pulsates with a constant stream of markets, festivals like the popular Brewhalla craft beer event, and even open-air cinema screenings, ensuring there's always something exciting to discover.
In 2014, North Van city council announced plans to repurpose the shipyards.


The Lonsdale Quay boasts over 80 fresh food shops, while The Shipyards District offers a world-class art gallery and stage, along with peaceful waterfront seating. It also includes an open-air community hub with a waterpark in summer and skating rink in the winter, perfect for crisp evenings under the stars.
