Yaletown is the permanent home of the engine that pulled the first transcontinental train into Vancouver

Initially, situated at the end of the Canadian Pacific Railway, Yaletown was a hub during BC’s gold rush era in the 1800s, falling into disrepair by the mid 20th century. Today, is flanked by False Creek, the downtown core, and provides easy access to Vancouver’s famed seawall.

After Yaletown became industrialized with factories and warehouses, the district fell into disrepair and was abandoned

In 1986 Vancouver’s Yaletown was home to the World’s Fair (Expo 86)
