Winter brings a dip in temperature, but us Vancouverites love to sit at a patio all year round. Here are some patios to sip, eat and people-watch from — no matter the season!

Until February 5, 2021, in line with the public health order issued on November 20, non-essential travel into and out of BC is not recommended. BC residents let’s do our part by continuing to stay local and support local, with your immediate household or bubble, in accordance with the latest guidelines.

A great thing about Vancouver — particularly the Downtown core — is that there are many restaurants with year-round patios. There’s just something about enjoying a nice meal or drinks with your partner or bubble on a patio.

  • Plan ahead — make sure you get a table for the time you want by making a reservation.
  • Restaurant staff are working hard in a “new normal” — remember to leave a good tip!
  • Respect the policies of establishments you visit
  • Wash or sanitize your hands often and well
  • Getting around: Face coverings are now mandatory on all TransLink services; buses, SkyTrain and SeaBus. Read about TransLink’s Safe Operating Action Plan (SOAP).
