Filming in Vancouver: Game Over, Man!, Cameron Monaghan, Peyton List, Barry Watson, and more
While one film is getting its game on in town, another one is wrapping up in the province. And a TV show finishes up shooting its first season.
It’s a typical week in Hollywood North, with productions coming and going, so let’s size up what and who is shooting in town this week.
Contrary to its title, Game Over, Man! is just getting its game going. Shooting for the action-comedy starts on Wednesday (April 12) and continues until June 5.
This Netflix feature stars Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson, and is directed by Kyle Newacheck, all of whom work together on the TV series Workaholics.

All four also appeared as beer pong guys in Seth Rogen’s 2014 film Neighbors—and they’ll reunite with Rogen again on this film as Rogen, along with Scott Rudin, is an executive producer. (Fun fact: Vancouver is Rogen’s hometown.)
The title references the famous line uttered by Bill Paxton’s character in the 1986 sci-fi horror classic Aliens. (Sadly, Paxton, who starred in films such as The Terminator and Titanic, died on February 25.)
The plot has not yet been revealed but has been described as Die Hard in a hotel.

The film is an adaptation of Joanne Proulx’s young adult novel.

It stars Barry Watson (7th Avenue) as Ricky, a former professional baseball player whose beloved wife died three years ago, leaving him the single father of three girls, played by Zenia Marie Marshall, Lilah Fitzgerald, and Aubrey Smallman.
He’s not completely on his own, as he has the help of his mother-in-law Rosa, played by none other than screen queen Raquel Welch (Fantastic Voyage).
