The first Granville Street Bridge opened
Initially, South Granville was a rustic retreat; Vancouverites would row across the river to camp in the wilderness. In 1902, the Vancouver Tourism Board promoted the area, bringing in entrepreneurs who helped the region prosper, laying the foundation you see today.
In 1930 the iconic art deco Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage opened.
