About
Journey through the universe at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, home to Vancouver’s Planetarium Star Theatre. Experience planets, nebulas, and black holes like never before. Watch a live demonstration in the GroundStation Canada Theatre, and explore the Cosmic Courtyard gallery for a deeper understanding of the most fascinating discoveries in astronomy. From planets to moons and star clusters explore the wonders of the night sky through the half-metre Cassegrain telescope in the Gordon MacMillan Southam Observatory.
Rain or shine, visit the Space Centre — where we focus on offering both visitors and residents of Vancouver a fun learning experience. Kids, adults, the entire family - there's something for everyone.
Located at the heart of Vanier Park south of the Burrard Bridge, the Space Centre is easily accessible, has convenient parking, and also boasts a panoramic view of the Coast Mountains and the city of Vancouver. Look for the friendly steel Crab at the front of the building.
