Garden Ommm: Outdoor Yoga in the VanDusen Botanical Gardens
We’ve had yoga at the beach, yoga on a mountain, yoga with bunnies, yoga in the Aquarium, and yoga in a yoga studio. Now, we’ve got yoga in the beautiful setting of VanDusen Gardens.
If you’re interested in trying out yoga, or you just want to enjoy the exquisite garden setting, the VanDusen Botanical Garden is the place to be on Thursdays in June and July for their summer yoga series.
You’re invited to see why yoga has something for everyone, regardless of experience or flexibility. The classes are open to everyone and will include Hatha Yoga’s classical yoga postures, breathing techniques as well as flowing sequences and plenty of deep relaxation.

There’s something extra special about stretching in nature, it’s much nicer staring up at the sky in Shavasana then fighting off sleep in a yoga studio (did someone just start snoring!?). The fresh air will do you good!
Yoga classes at the VanDusen Gardens will be held at 7pm on Thursdays starting June 2, 2016 and run until July 21, 2016. If you are a garden member, you can join all 8 classes for $105, or if you’re not a member you pay $140.
If you’re not ready to commit to all the classes, you can also drop-in to a single session for $15 (members) or $20 (non-members). This could be the perfect, unique Vancouver experience that you’ve been looking for!

Calm your mind, strengthen your body and relax at the end of your day. If you’re interested in joining, all you’ll have to do is bring a yoga mat or thick towel to class. Pre-registration required, you can register now at the VanDusen Garden website.
There are only 18 spots left to sign up, so make your decision soon! If you are doing a drop-in, call the Gardens ahead of time at 604-718-5898 to make sure there’s an extra spot.
