Finding your way through a corn maze is a fun fall activity for all ages. In 2021, six Vancouver-area farms have corn mazes you can explore. There’s something for everyone including mini-mazes for kids, scary haunted mazes for brave adults, and mystery mazes full of clues. Here’s everything you need to know about visiting a corn maze near Vancouver this fall.

Corn Maze Tips

Book in Advance Or Go at Non-Peak Times: Due to COVID-19, many corn mazes have reduced capacity. Some farms require advance booking. (See below for details.)

Go at Night for Spooky Vibes: Some mazes stay open late, so pack a flashlight.

Dress for the Weather: Since you’ll be outdoors, layer up and include rain gear. Fall weather can be cold and wet.

Wear Boots: Farms can be muddy.

Warm Up with Hot Drinks: Some farms have a concession stand where you can buy hot chocolate or hot apple cider. Or bring your own in a thermos.

Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch

This family-run Surrey farm is mostly known for its huge pumpkin patch and petting farm. But they also have a mini corn maze that’s great for kids. There’s a great playground that features a real 1972 fire truck and a 40-foot-long fishing boat. Bring lunch to enjoy in their tented picnic area.

Maan Farms Haunted Corn Maze

Billed as the scariest corn maze in Canada, the Haunted Corn Maze at Maan Farms in Abbotsford is more of a haunted house experience than a traditional corn maze. Each year a trip through the maze revolves around a scary story. Details about the 2021 theme haven’t been released yet, but previous years featured an abandoned testing facility full of scary creatures. It’s a truly scary experience not recommended for kids under 10, those with cardiovascular health issues or epilepsy, or pregnant women.

Chilliwack Corn Maze

The farmers at the Chilliwack Corn Maze have been plowing mazes into their cornfields since 1999. The design of this year’s labyrinth aims to show the community that beauty is all around us. As you explore the maze you’ll also enjoy “The Boy Who Spoke to the Earth,” a walking storyboard experience from adventure photographer Chris Burkard and Disney interactive artist David McClellan.

They also have lots of fun activities for kids including a pumpkin patch, giant jumping pillow, pedal carts, an indoor hay bale maze, and farm animals. Stop by the food hut for burgers, hot dogs, mini donuts, and locally-made Birchwood Dairy ice cream. Thursdays are Family Night with live music from 5-7 pm and 50% off kids admission.
