Fly through the air, balance on swinging obstacles far above the ground, and walk on suspension bridges through the forest canopy. Check out these three places to experience the thrill of ziplines and aerial ropes courses around Vancouver.

Until further notice, in line with the public health order, non-essential travel into, within, and out of BC is not recommended. BC residents, let’s do our part by continuing to stay small and support local in accordance with the latest guidelines.

Grouse Mountain

The ski slopes at Grouse Mountain turn into an adventure paradise in the summer. To get your adrenaline pumping while enjoying killer views of the city and the North Shore mountains, book tickets for the Mountain Ziplines tour. You’ll ride five separate ziplines and reach speeds of up to 80 kilometres per hour! All the ziplines are double-track so you can ride next to a friend or family member.

If you want to get your heart rate up without going fast, check out the Mountain Ropes Adventure. Clip into a harness, then balance, jump and swing as you navigate four separate aerial courses that increase in difficulty as you progress.

If you’re visiting with children, don’t miss the Kids Tree Canopy Adventure. Designed for ages 3-8, it’s an elevated playground in the forest that includes fully contained suspension bridges, treehouses, slides, and games. The Kids Tree Canopy Adventure is included with your mountain admission ticket.

Greenheart Treewalk

Make nature the focus of your adventure with a visit to the Greenheart Treewalk at the UBC Botanical Garden. Walk from platform to platform along the 310 metre-long treetop canopy walkway. You’ll get a bird’s eye view of Vancouver’s magnificent coastal temperate rainforest as you stroll along 23 metres above the forest floor. To learn more about this unique ecosystem, book a guided tour with a naturalist.

Wild Play Maple Ridge

Navigate through the treetops by walking across tightropes, sliding down ziplines, leaping onto swinging logs, and balancing on wobbly bridges at Wild Play Maple Ridge. They have three ropes courses to choose from: the kids course, the classic course, and the extreme course. You can also challenge yourself with the Face Your Fears Jump where you’ll plunge 40ft from a wooden platform while tethered to a safety line.
