We’re getting closer and closer to Canada’s premier annual music celebration, the 54th annual Juno Awards, when it’s hosted at Rogers Arena on Sunday, March 30. Prepare for the country’s most talented musicians coming together to celebrate the best in Canadian music from the past year. Plan your trip early to get the most out of your full Juno Week stay.

For the first time in seven years and the fifth time overall, Vancouver is bringing the Junos to town. The city is known as a West Coast destination for world-class music and stage performances thanks to our unparalleled mountain and ocean backdrop that creates great vibes and a welcoming atmosphere for hosting music.

Burnaby native and The Voice coach Michael Bublé has just been announced as the returning Junos host for the third time. A 15-time Juno winner, the multi-platinum crooner first won for Best New Artist in 2004. He previously hosted the last time the ceremony was held in Vancouver in 2018, as well as in 2013. He follows up Victoria-born singer Nelly Furtado who hosted the 53rd edition this past March.

Also just announced, Ajax punk rockers Sum 41 will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, joining an impressive class of previous inductees.

Live Nation Canada Chairman Riley O’Connor will also receive the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award, for those who have contributed to the growth and development of the Canadian music industry.

There’s a vibrant local music scene with various venues, concert halls, and spots where you can find musicians of all career stages playing live for audiences. During Juno Week, there will be a strong buzz and a full lineup of live music on tap.

Intimate venues like Biltmore Cabaret, Fox Cabaret, Guilt & Company, and Fortune Sound Club are some of the best places to chill out and enjoy musical artists on the rise.

For more well-known and touring musicians, head downtown to Granville Street and check out the Commodore Ballroom, Orpheum Theatre, and Vogue Theatre, where you can find great Juno-nominated Canadian and international bands and artists rocking out live on stage.

Vancouver’s Stadium District in False Creek has plenty of great hotel choices within walking distance. For the easiest access, the JW Marriott and Douglas Hotel can be found inside the Parq Vancouver complex, a premier hotel and entertainment destination, next door to Rogers Arena.

Closer to the downtown core, places like Hotel BLU, the Georgian Court Hotel, Rosedale on Robson, and Moda Hotel are also close by the arena and tons of other fun places to visit.

Every year for the last twenty years, the Junos have been held in a different Canadian city and presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARS). Its awards recognize achievements in the music industry by Canadian artists and talent.

The awards show will be broadcast live nationwide on CBC and streamed on CBC Gem.

Tickets go on sale to the public starting Wednesday, November 27 through Ticketmaster.
