With the close of this year’s Vancouver International Wine Festival, you can now anticipate the upcoming BC Distilled Festival, which takes place April 8, 2017, and also features exciting lead-up events the week before the big night. Recently, British Columbia has seen an explosion of artisan and micro-distilleries, making 2017’s Festival particularly exciting.
The BC Distilled Festival is now in its fourth year and holds the title of being Canada’s largest artisan distillery event. The event will be held on April 8 at the Croatian Culture Centre (3520 Commercial Drive), bringing together 34 BC distilleries, including Central City Brewing and Distilling, Deep Cove Brewers & Distillers, Long Table Distillery, Odd Society Sprits, and Yaletown Distilling.
Invite a date along, or a group of friends, and spend an evening tasting the spirits on offer; meeting their producers and learning more about their artisan craft; sampling bites from top restaurants and establishments, like Timber, Juniper, Cascade Room, and Lucky’s Doughnuts; as well as sipping products from companies such as Walter Caesar and Philips Soda.
