Check out the world premiere of Bound! The Musical, an original musical performed in concert, at the Metro Theatre from November 19-20. Featuring brand new pop-rock style songs and an ensemble of quirky, relatable characters, this story will resonate with anyone from teenagers to seniors and emphasizes the message that we can all overcome chaos through community and connection.
A re-imagining of Shakespeare's Love’s Labour’s Lost, Bound! follows the journey of four male Olympics-bound athletes tricked into abstaining from vices or "romance" during their intense training, only to find themselves suddenly in the middle of a group of attractive, brilliant, and highly driven women. What follows is a hilarious battle of wills between their natural desires against their stringent guidelines in pursuit of victory.

Looking further ahead towards the holiday season, East Van Panto is a cherished annual tradition inspired by classic British "pantomime" stage productions of family-friendly fairytale performances featuring songs, dancing, and heightened characters, where audience participation is strongly encouraged. This year, catch Theatre Replacement and The Cultch’s witty musical twist on Robin Hood at the York Theatre from November 20 to January 5.
Filled with plenty of silly community references, East Van Panto returns with another localized retelling of a classic children’s tale where our titular hero and his merry band of birds and animals face off against the naughty Sheriff of Trout Lake.
