Bear Creek Pumpkin Train and Scream Train
Each October Surrey’s Bear Creek Train gets a Halloween make-over. During the day the train operates as the kid-friendly Pumpkin Train. The experience includes a train ride through the decorated forest, a treat, and a pumpkin. At night, teens and adults can brave the Scream Train through the haunted forest complete with scary actors including the terrifying Chainsaw Charlie. Eerie Illusions at Burnaby Village
The heritage buildings at Burnaby Village have been transformed into a magical world for the Eerie Illusions event for Halloween. Explore the village to discover talking crows, invisible bands, and photo-bombing ghouls created using creative lighting, soundscapes, and special effects. Celebrate the Night in Maple Ridge
This annual Celebrate the Night community event returns October 22 in Maple Ridge’s Memorial Peace Park. It includes light displays, live theatre, food trucks, music, dance, a photo booth, and a costume contest. The highlight of the evening is a spectacular fireworks show set to music.

Parade of Lost Souls
Whether you join in or just watch, the Parade of Lost Souls is a unique community-organized experience in the Commercial Drive neighbourhood. The parade starts at the Britannia Community Centre and features artists and performers in unique, creepy, and colourful costumes. This year’s parade takes place on October 30th. It kicks off with a kid-friendly procession at 7 pm, followed by scarier processions at 8 pm and 9pm.
