Treat Yourself to Exclusive to Vancouver Spa Treatments
Vancouver is home to many of the best spas in Canada, and most are located in the Downtown hotels — which is very convenient for you. Why? Many of our spas feature amazing treatments you can only find in Vancouver — the perfect way to recover from a travel day. Here are some fabulous ways to pamper yourself when you arrive or just before you leave the city.
Travel is wonderful, but the reality is that it can be a touch stressful on the body and mind. We previously posted some easy and effective stretches for a travel-weary body — but if sometimes we need a proper decompress with some pampering. Certain spa treatments are also a great way to rehydrate your skin after a summer of being out in the sun.
Jet Lag Recovery at The Spa at the Wedgewood
Jet lag is generally a big hurdle before anyonecan start to enjoy a vacation. The Jet Lag Recovery Package at The Spa at the Wedgewood combines a Thai Fusion Massage with a revitalizing Epicuren Cinnamon Enzyme Facial and is guaranteed to pep you up and get you on the right time zone. The massage is a luxuriously innovative combination of yoga-like poses and deep-tissue therapy that will soothe your tired muscles, and the facial is essentially a non-surgical facelift. It firms, tones, and tightens, and I highly recommend this treatment (even if you don’t have jet lag!)
This treatment is a Canadian exclusive at the Wedgewood. I recently tried it and my skin and muscles felt beyond wonderful. I also wasn’t tired anymore after a long week. So a hip-hip-hooray for that!

The Pacific Rim Body Buffer treatment is a perfectly relaxing example of this: impurities are buffed away with this body polish using rice bran, jojoba oil and a natural exfoliating Bio-Maple™ compound, soothing and conditioning skin, leaving you with a radiant glow.

Okay, gents – this one’s for you! With Canada’s first men’s concept spa, the team at Absolute Spa know how to treat a guy right! Their location in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is free of the pastels you might expect at a spa; instead, you’ll find stainless steel, leather, and wood. Their classic Gentlemen’s Facial starts with an in-depth skin analysis before a deep cleanse, tone, exfoliation, and moisturizing treatment mask. If you’re not interested in anyone messing with your mug, consider their Mud Detox Body Treatment, or an energising body scrub with fresh rainforest essential oils.
