This week’s roundup of what’s shooting in Vancouver is all about TV series.

While two series are wrapping up, another one starts shooting its second season. But hey, such is the world of Hollywood North so let’s take a look at which stars are coming and going.

Season 2 of Beyond starts shooting on Tuesday (April 24) and continues until August 16

The series revolves around Holden Matthews (Vancouver’s Burkely Duffield), a 25-year-old guy who was in a coma for 12 years but has awoken to discover he has superhuman powers.

Speaking of second seasons, Supergirl wraps up shooting Season 2 on Wednesday (April 26), after having started on July 25 of last year.

As you may recall, Supergirl relocated from filming in L.A. to Vancouver to shoot its second season, luckily for us.

Melissa Benoist portrays Kara Danvers/Supergirl, and the cast includes Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, and David Harewood.

Another series that’s wrapping up production on its latest season is the longrunning Supernatural.

The fantasy-horror series ends shooting its 12th season on Thursday (April 27). It’s been shooting in town since July 12.

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles play brothers Sam and Dean Winchester who are on a mission to hunt down evil supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves, demons, witches, angels, and even fallen gods.

Along the way, they’ve been helped by the fallen angel Castiel (Misha Collins) and Crowley, the King of Hell (Mark A. Sheppard).

But there’s good news for fans: yes, Season 13 has been confirmed so there’ll be more things that go bump in the night to take down as the brothers continue their never-ending quest.

While that does bring us to the end of this week’s roundup, the production news in Vancouver is never-ending so be sure to check in with us next week for more of what’s shooting in town.
