The Museum realizes the financial hardship faced by many at this time and is committed to breaking down barriers to access in order to ensure that everyone can enjoy, learn, and experience the stories that the collection and exhibitions tell.

The Museum of Vancouver (MOV) announced that the organization will be lowering admission prices to the following rates:

Adults (12 and up) – $10*
Children (6 to 11) and Seniors – $5
Children (5 and under) – Free
Individuals self-identifying as Indigenous – Free

The Museum of Vancouver, in recognition of these difficult and unprecedented times, is pleased to announce that we will be introducing new discounted admission rates that will be in effect until the end of the year. It has been a challenging time for Vancouver and, as a thank-you for the support we have received from the community, the MOV is giving a little back to our residents through this discount. We hope Vancouverites will take this opportunity to come and learn about their City’s history here at the MOV.” – Mauro Vescera, CEO of the Museum of Vancouver

New discounted admission to the museum coincides with the recently opened studio exhibition c̓əc̓əwitəl̕ | helping each other | ch’áwatway, which provides a unique opportunity for the 2019 YVR Art Foundation (YVRAF) scholarship recipients to exhibit their artworks.

MOV is also excited to welcome visitors to its highly anticipated feature exhibition A Seat at the Table, which opens to the public in late November 2020. The upcoming exhibition will explore historical and contemporary stories of Chinese Canadians in BC and their struggles for belonging. The exhibition is an opportunity to consider the contributions that Chinese migrants and their descendants have made to British Columbia, a province built from the interaction of successive and concurrent waves of migration and uninterrupted occupation by Indigenous peoples.

The public is invited to review the museum’s health and safety measures as well as full programming details at museumofvancouver.ca.
