Starring Lana Condor as 16-year-old diehard romantic Lara Jean Covey, the film follows the trials and tribulations of young love gone awry. After Lara Jean’s secret love letters to her crushes are sent to them by her mischievous younger sister, hilarity and warm-hearted fun ensues – and, of course, some good old-fashioned romance, too.

Grab your sweetie and prepare to swoon – romance is just around the corner in Vancouver.

BCIT Aerospace Technology Campus (Portland Airport)

Standing in for Portland Airport in the film’s final scene, the BCIT Aerospace Technology Campus is situated a nine-minute drive from Vancouver International Airport—an out-of-the-box yet surprisingly effective locale in which to chase romance.

After snapping photos of the cavernous campus, treat your honey to a weekend in the lap of luxury. First, book a suite at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel, a luxury 4-Diamond hotel located above the U.S. departures terminal. Here, you can indulge in a pre- or post-flight massage at Absolute Spa (more than 120 options are tailored to relieving jet lag); share tapas and cocktails while grooving to live music at the Jetside Bar; and cozy up in the hot tub after an evening swim.

The next day, head to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet (just three minutes away from the airport), where you can shop high-end brands at discount prices before relaxing at one of many cafes and restaurants in the attractive outdoor plaza. End your weekend with a cozy picnic at one of many green spaces around the airport, including Iona Beach and Flight Path Park – perfect spots to laze away an afternoon watching planes taking off and landing.

Site 2: Point Grey Secondary School (Adler High School)

Portrayed in the film as Adler High School, Point Grey Secondary School is situated in the elegant Shaughnessy neighbourhood of West Vancouver. Here is where Lara Jean encounters her past crushes, including boy-next-door Josh and “fake boyfriend” Peter Kavinsky. Now that you’re in a romantic frame of mind, drive five minutes to VanDusen Botanical Garden, a stunning green space where couples can spend hours roaming among more than 7,500 plant species. Put your teamwork to the test by attempting to navigate the Shakespeare-inspired hedge maze, then have lunch on the patio of elegant Shaughnessy Restaurant.

Site 3: Corner Café

The quirky Corner Café—carrying the same name in the film and IRL—is located in North Vancouver, an easy Seabus ride from the downtown core. After posing for selfies and ordering milkshakes, as seen in TATBILB, drive 11 minutes to two of Vancouver’s most popular attractions: Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.

Start at Grouse Mountain, an elevated wonderland that’s equally as entertaining in summer and winter. Take the Skyride Gondola up to the summit, and if you want to get even closer to your sweetie, try the thrilling Skyride Surf Adventure where you travel 1,610 metres upward on the roof of the gondola. Once up top, visit resident grizzly bears Grinder and Coola before diving into heart-pumping adventure with an afternoon of hiking, skiing, or snowboarding.

Grab a cocktail at the elegant Observatory restaurant before descending and making for Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Here, take your lover’s hand and cross the swaying suspension bridge—make sure to pose for a photo along the way! – then explore the flora at Treetops Adventure. The park is particularly pretty in wintertime when millions of twinkling lights shine from the trees and bridge.
