About
Every spring, Vancouver bursts into a sea of pink and white as more than 40,000 cherry trees bloom across the city, marking the arrival of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival. This beloved annual celebration honours the fleeting beauty of the blossoms while bringing the community together through art, culture, and nature.
Signature events like The Big Picnic in David Lam Park invite locals and visitors alike to gather under the blossoms, while Sakura Days Japan Fair at VanDusen Botanical Garden highlights Japanese culture through traditional performances, food, and workshops.
This year's festival also includes the first ever Blossom Block Party, a free event in partnership with Public Disco featuring DJs and live music at the Bentall Centre Courtyard.
Visit the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival website for a full list of all of the events and activities.
