Spring weather

Spring can be unpredictable in Vancouver. With a mix of sun and rain, and temperatures fluctuating between 5°C - 19°C, come prepared to be surprised in the best way.

What to wear in spring

Weather can vary in the spring. Pack a bit of everything and layer up if needed. Light layers, sweaters, a variety of bottoms, and a good raincoat should have you covered.

Winter weather

Vancouver enjoys a mild winter, with averages of  0°C - 10°C and frequent rainy days. Check location specific reports if you’re planning a mountain excursion as temperatures drop drastically with elevation.

What to wear in winter

Stay comfortable with warm layers like merino wool, insulated puffer jackets, and a tough rain shell. And for city and mountain adventures alike, waterproof shoes and good socks are a must.

Summer weather

Summer in Vancouver is warm and mild, featuring blue skies with average temperatures of 15°C - 25°C. You’ll catch the occasional rainy day, especially on the tail ends of the season.

What to wear in summer

For a great summer adventure, pack swimwear, quick dry clothes for exploring the outdoors, casual city attire, plus a light sweater or puffer for chilly evenings.

Autumn weather

Grey skies meet moody oceans for spectacular views and cozy West Coast charm every Autumn, with temperatures fluctuating between 3°C - 19°C.

What to wear in autumn

Stay dry with quick drying layers like merino wool. A warm insulated puffer jacket, your best rain coat, thick socks, and waterproof shoes will help you enjoy Vancouver in comfort.
