The Food Bank

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society (GVFBS) relies on volunteers to provide healthy food to those in need. By participating in production, distribution, and seasonal events, volunteers can help promote the mission and make a positive impact in the community.

Salvation Army Belkin House

The Salvation Army Belkin House, a state-of-the-art facility that supports up to 224 residents with comprehensive programs. Each month, it provides 8,000 nutritious meals to clients. Volunteer groups of up to 12 individuals can assist with meal service, working in four-hour shifts.

Backpack Buddies

Backpack Buddies supports 5,000+ hungry children weekly, partnering with educators, social workers, and non-profits. Volunteers help pack food bags for weekend meals, delivered to local kids in need, providing them with the nutrition they need to thrive and succeed.

Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon cares for families of children whose health needs take them far from home and keeps families together in a home away from home. Bring together a group of colleagues to cook a healthy, delicious meal for our families.

Covenant House

Covenant House Vancouver works to fight against youth homelessness. Volunteering activities vary, from sorting clothing inventory to wrapping presents during the holidays, to handwritten notes to our generous donors.

Giving back in the nature

The Sharing Farm

The Sharing Farm, in Terra Nova Rural Park, grows food for community members facing food insecurity. Volunteers help with sustainable farming practices from April to October, contributing to over 20,000 lbs of fresh produce donated to the community.

Stanley Park Ecology Society

The Stanley Park Ecology Society educates, conserves, and researches within Stanley Park. Its goal is to inspire generations to appreciate nature. The Eco-Stewards Program improves the park through activities such as removing invasive species, restoring habitats, and more.

Ocean Wise Shoreline Cleanup

Join the Ocean Wise Shoreline Cleanup in Vancouver, a citizen science program fighting plastic pollution. Our expert-led program collects valuable data, makes a tangible impact, and creates unforgettable memories. Customizable options available.
