Whether its glazed, jelly-filled or frosted, Vancouver is not short on donuts of all shapes and sizes. From ring-shaped classics to fancy cronuts and mochi, there are plenty of donut shops to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Lucky for us, Chicago-founded company, Underground Donut Tour’s “World Best Donut Tour” has launched in Vancouver to showcase the best donuts the city has to offer. The Underground Donut Tour has been running for 7 years across the US, UK and now Canada.

The walking tour takes place over 2 hours, where you will visit 4 donut shops, sampling several sizes and specialty flavours as you walk through historic neighbourhoods and admire the local architecture. Tours run year-round and are available Friday through Sunday.

Apart from the 4 donut shops including Breka Bakery and Cartem’s, here are some of our top picks for finger-licking goodness:

Lee’s Donuts – it’s hard to miss this iconic bakery at Granville Island Public Market. Just follow the line (or the smell) and you’ll find yourself in front of a fresh batch of sugary dough.

Lucky’s Doughnuts – offering classics with a twist, you can pair your donuts with delicious 49th Parallel coffee.

Their There – this stylish coffee and pastry shop offers unique donuts to match their aesthetic, including mochi and crueller based dough.

Mello – filled to the brim with cream or custard, these guilt free baked brioche donuts are soft and decadent.

Honey Doughnuts– you can’t leave Deep Cove without sinking your teeth into one of these world famous sweet and sticky treats.

Mochido – cute and chewy, these mochi donuts have unique flavours like milk tea, black sesame and even turtle chips.
